- work with the General Managers of each property and the VP of Sales and Marketing to achieve required sales goals.
- have current knowledge of hotel rates, strategies, discounts and promotions.
- respond to all sales inquiries, RFPs, and other leads accurately, timely, and in a professional manner.

- Ensures that he/she adheres to all sales administrative processes that are in place from the StepStone Corporate Office.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
- Ability to adjust to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
- Ability to assist with the design and preparation of statistical reports and presentations as needed.
- Ability to accurately report information and attend required meetings.
- Ability to assist with various office department tasks as needed.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
- College education or relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.

The Area Director of Sales is primarily responsible for staying ahead of market trends, market share movement and ongoing competitive hotel analysis to ensure budgeted revenues are met or exceeded. Leading & driving top line revenue strategy for traditional sales related segments to include group, transient & banquet/catering at two properties. Will be fully knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the hotel and departments that may impact sales strategies.
