Primary duty to observe and record production notes for all aspects of production from the raw materials being used to the final check before assembled parts are sent to the customer, directing process technicians and supervisors throughout process.
After becoming technician, I began training with Lifetime Utah Quality Supervisor Don Waite. Then I was given a position to train everyone at Lifetime Tennessee. This included my supervisor as well as all other supervisors within the plant. I assisted my supervisor with rewriting processes for quality training throughout our entire facility. Training included several duties including but not limited to: quality audits of products throughout entire manufacturing process ensuring no recalls or returns; measuring plastic blow-molding products thickness including boats, sheds, coolers, deck boxes ensure they meet Lifetime Products product guarantee; working with production and process techs, as well as multiple other departments within the plant.

Oversaw daily production of up to three extrusion "lines" (each consisting of extruder, water bath, up to four ovens, up to five rollstands, lubrication roller stand, and a winder station which could hold up to 200 yarns). Worked startup shift, bringing up, typically, two monofilament extrusion lines each start-up day, making adjustments to equipment to get material within specifications. Daily duties included: hourly line checks to adjust windings and check raw material levels. Restringing any yarn breaks and/or line crashes. Doffing (changing spools when full). Lab testing. Packing full spools and prepping for shipment. Material handling. Became familiar with several different plastic polymers and blending them. Became an expert in monofilament quality control.
