- Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure accurate coding and timely entry of invoices into the accounting system.
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary approvals.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies.
- Generate and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
- Conduct weekly or bi-weekly check runs and ensure timely delivery of payments to vendors.
- Reconcile payment batches and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements and employee expense reports.
- Verify the accuracy and legitimacy of expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage petty cash transactions and reconcile petty cash accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of petty cash disbursements and receipts.
- Replenish petty cash fund as needed and ensure proper documentation.
- Assist in month-end close procedures related to accounts payable.
- Prepare and maintain accruals for outstanding invoices and expenses
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or finance role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
