    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Drive improved Innovation results at sites / companies by leveraging DBS tools, consulting skills, and change management process. Key tools include the Danaher Software System (DSS), DBS Fundamentals tools, Continuous Delivery (CD).
    • Promote and facilitate associate development in DSS and Innovation DBS tools. Evaluate and approve DBSL's, CP candidates, and ACP candidates for certification.
    • Assist sites / companies in the development of DBS roadmaps leveraging Innovation KPIs.
    • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching at all levels. Coach leaders to address change management barriers.
    • Promote and facilitate associate development in Innovation DBS tools. Evaluate and approve process champions and support candidates in achieving certification in appropriate DBS tools.
    • Help create and leverage a community of Innovation process professionals throughout Danaher to drive awareness and interest in Innovation DBS Tools within platform/OpCo.
    • Leverage OpCo NPD KPIs to guide support and improvement initiatives at the Operating Companies.
    • Manage one or more priority initiatives in support of DBSO Strategic Planning. This may include development of a DBS tool, supporting tool, training program, community or networking activity, or deployment support on an existing initiative.
    • Contribute to evolution of Innovation DBS tools. Benchmark and incorporate best practices.
    • Improve DBS training and facilitation skills by pursuing certification in DBS tools.

    Education and/or Experience

    • B.S. in Engineering or Sciences required; MBA and/or advanced Engineering degree desired.
    • 15+ years' experience in software engineering and software engineering management/leadership
    • Leadership of software development programs and teams
    • 4+ years at Danaher with a passion for DBS and experience in applying DBS/Lean principles to product development
    • Up to date on modern programming languages and standards: java/J2EE/SOA, .Net, Ruby, PHP, Hadoop/NoSQL/SCA/SOA
    • Experience leading distributed agile teams. Capability to deploy agile practices to functions outside of software development.
    • Experience in at least a couple of the following: Bioinformatics, Imaging instrumentation and software, electro-physiology, mass spec, laboratory readers, laboratory automation systems, Hematology, urinalysis, other life sciences / diagnostics platforms
    • Software development in life sciences and diagnostics preferred, analytical instrument, software applications and instrument control
    • Strong Executive Presence: Ability to present highly complex, technical, or difficult messages clearly and persuasively at all levels of the organization.
    • Experience influencing others and developing capabilities in others/teams (teaching and training)

    • Up to 50% travel required
