    Location: Remote

    We are looking for a motivated Public Affairs Specialist to enhance our team. This role is designed for individuals with solid background in public affairs, ready to take on more responsibility and contribute to complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a track record of public affairs initiatives and a keen understanding of the nuances within public affairs programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of public events working across programs and divisions to coordinate due-outs such as press calls, talking points, advisories, press releases, fact sheets, memos, and other materials for press and staff.
    • Leads internal and external meetings with stakeholders and press.
    • Helps draft and edit press materials for final approval.
    • Assist with administrative duties, such as maintaining media contact lists, updating databases, and tracking expenses related to public affairs activities. Provide general support to the public affairs team as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree (Years experience can be used in lieu of degree)
    • 4 years of progressive experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related field
    • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence across organizational levels.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
    • U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully complete a Government background check.
