    Hillandale Farms, Hillandale Farms , CT farms are adding a Lead Processing Associate. The Lead – Processing Associate is primarily responsible for filling in for the absence of the Plant Manager and assisting the Plant Manager in day-to-day activities of the Shell Egg Processing Plant .

    Essential Job Functions

    • Oversee staffing needed to run the daily activities of the Processing Plant.
    • Works directly with USDA, maintenance and office personnel as needed.
    • Lead employees in a professional and respectful manner in order to be efficient and productive.
    • Assure shipping labels are ready and available to employees.
    • Complete all necessary documentation as needed.
    • Complete quality checks on product.
    • Assure all machinery is in good operating order and if not, notify maintenance personnel immediately.
    • Assign Packer assignments for the shift.
    • Learn all Processing Plant positions, i.e. Packer, Line/Rail Associate, Machine Operator, etc. in order to perform such position in the event of the need for coverage.
    • Assure the Plant is clean at the end of day and ready for the next day processing.
    • Assist Manager with special projects as requested.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • At least two years of related experience preferred.
    • An understanding of a manufacturing plants processes.
    • Strong attention to detail required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual preferred.
    • Excellent people management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Works well under pressure.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and Hillandale team members.

    • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs
