    Field Service Engineer (2+ yrs electrical systems exp. req.) Description

    Our client, a leader in high-tech engineering and manufacturing within the transportation sector, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in the Milwaukee, WI area.

    This role focuses on providing exceptional field technical support, in addition to onsite training, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for a range of products serving electric mass transit.

    Our client is looking for someone who possesses both technical troubleshooting abilities and customer service skills.

    Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years of field maintenance or service experience with electrical equipment/systems, coupled with customer-facing experience, will be well-versed with safety regulations, with the ability to read circuit schematics and engineering drawings.

    Ideal candidates will be customer-oriented, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work at heights and troubleshoot effectively.
    Field Service Engineer (2+ yrs electrical systems exp. req.) Responsibilities


    Maintain product line through repairs, modifications, and maintenance


    Prepare test and service reports; make suggestions for improvement


    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as well as commissioning activities


    Provide support to resolve malfunctions and diagnose abnormal performance failures


    Program, deploy, conduct input/output tests, measurements and provide feedback


    Develop and deliver customer training on products


    Prepare tools, materials, permits, and travel arrangements as necessary


    Accurately record all service activities per company protocols


    Serve as the first line of technical support for product issues

    Qualifications


    Bachelor's degree required


    2+ years of field maintenance/service of electrical systems experience required


    Customer facing experience required


    Ability to read electrical circuit schematics and engineering drawings required


    Willingness/ability to travel 50-60% (domestic and international) required


    Valid Driver's license required
