    Description

    In this position, you will provide support for accounting operations at the Sheraton Madison and Fairfield Inn Madison South properties.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Handling daily bank deposits and managing bank change orders
    • Reviewing guest requests for credit/direct-bill privileges, making recommendations to the Hotel's General Manager and Controller
    • Securing approvals from department heads for invoices, reconciling discrepancies with vendors, organizing invoices and paperwork, and preparing invoice transmittals for payment

    • Assisting the Controller with recording journal entries in the accounting ledger as necessary
    • Supporting the Controller in maintaining the hotel checkbook and labor standards, ensuring accurate processing and spending control
    • Participating in monthly balance sheet reconciliations post month-end for financial review meetings
    • Compiling and submitting data for monthly hotel sales and use tax filings, assisting in timely compliance
    • Contributing to the development of annual hotel budgets, monthly forecasts, and other financial reporting requirements to help achieve financial goals
    • Strong time management skills are required for this role
