Description
**Primary Purpose of the role:** Primary purpose is to schedule day to day activities within the service department, ensuring that machines are made ready for customers and sales in a timely manner and can be repaired correctly and within a reasonable time frame as required (both for internal and external customers). **Southeastern Equipment Company has an AMAZING opportunity for a Service Advisor.**
**This position is Monday thru Friday between 7a-5p.** The Service Advisor interacts daily with a variety of people including customers, service personnel, parts personnel, sales and rents personnel. You must be a people person and a team player to work as a Southeastern Equipment Service Advisor.
**Reports to:** Service Manager
**Direct Reports:** None
**Responsibilities:**
Meet predetermined service sales objectives
Schedule service appointments - obtain customer and equipment data prior to arrival
Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain check in/pick up information
Write up / Enter equipment conditions/ problems accurately and clearly on repair order (written/computer)
Recommend additional necessary services
Provide complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor/parts
Communicate any changes to estimates, completion time with urgency
Explain completed work to customer
Implement and maintain quality control process
Other duties as part of description and as per company/department needs
Qualifications:
Service writer or warranty writer experience is preferred--However--we will train those candidates with a customer focus and demonstrated technical skills
Must have the ability to work with various manufacturer computer programs and the ability to manage paperwork and reports efficiently
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong customer service focus
Organizational and multitasking skills
