    Job Summary:


    This position assists in the management of documents important to the intellectual property, procedures, onboarding of personnel and compliance of the Crowe lab.

    This position supports project by shipping valuable biological shipments worldwide to collaborators and providing support in the preparation of progress reports mandated by funding sources.

    • Provides support for the planning, developing and executing the project in order to meet established goals, objectives and timelines.
    • Supports the day to day project activities.

    Capabilities and Task


    • Project Management (Novice): Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
    • Project Planning (Novice): Demonstrates ability to realistically anticipate resource needs, identify and break work down into discrete and measurable tasks, set priorities, define dependencies, schedule activities, prepare acceptance criteria and organize work for a the continuum of projects. Appropriately matches equipment and capital resources to task demands. Reshapes project during life-cycle evolution, if needed. Demonstrates ability to break down work into manageable and measurable units, estimating time and costs appropriate to the project stage. Works with project management tools.
    • Process Improvement (Novice): Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.
    • Gap Analysis (Novice): Analyzes the difference between the current and desired state. The ability to draw appropriate and valid conclusions from data presented, sifting through data to determine the most significant elements. Identifying common elements and themes in situations and actions, recognizing cause and effect relationships.
    • Prepare shipments of biological materials to be sent to collaborators. Coordinate pick up and delivery timelines for shipments. Ensure shipments meet all required regulations and standards for packing. Track shipments, engages in follow up to ensure materials arrived in good condition, and maintains proper documentation for each shipment
    • Supports Sr. Program Manager with the preparation of progress reports by engaging with the scientist to obtain and compile the scientific portions of the reports. Aids in maintaining calendars and timelines for the mandated progress reports.
    • Supports human resources tasks specific to the Crowe laboratory for onboarding and offboarding personnel. This includes facilitating trainings, confidentiality forms, laboratory manual, and maintaining documentation. Communication on a regular basis with the Vaccine Center administrative team on this workflow. Follow up with staff as needed for annual training requirements.
    • Responsible for maintaining a system that ensures SOPs are regularly updated. Ensures important documents pertaining to intellectual property are properly maintained. Organizes project documents in the file system and follows up on collaboration action items.
    • Aids Sr. Program and Sr Project Managers with special projects. All special projects will be assigned as needed by lab leadership team could include projects that organize information, streamline a process, or overcome a backlog of work.
