    Exciting Opportunity for a State and Local Tax Associate

    Our client is looking for a talented State and Local Tax Associate to contribute to a growing organization.

    Your Role:

    · Dive into the heart of state and local tax engagements, from gathering data to preparing returns and conducting essential tax research.

    · Craft meticulous workpapers and assemble franchise and income tax returns for multiple states, leveraging your expertise in exemptions, credits, and incentives.

    · Be a key player in managing tax resolution notices, collecting crucial data, and supporting in tax field exams.

    · Stay at the forefront of industry knowledge by actively participating in continuing education classes, keeping abreast of evolving accounting standards and tax laws.

    · Embrace exciting challenges and contribute to various projects as needed.

    About You:

    · Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or tax-related field.

    · On the path towards achieving professional certifications such as CPA, JD, CMI, CCIP, or CPA eligibility (with 150 credit hours).

    · Bring 1-2 years of hands-on experience in public accounting with a focus on franchise and income tax returns for mid sized companies.

    · Have a passion for State and Local Tax (SALT) or a strong desire to specialize in this area for C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and other Flow-Through Entities.
