    Description


    The Apex Group was established in Bermuda in 2003 and is now one of the worlds largest fund administration and middle office solutions providers.

    Apex has continually improved and evolved its product suite by surrounding these core administrative services with additional products spanning the full value chain of a fund; from information delivery and regulatory products to fund platforms and tax services.

    The globally distributed service model has rapidly expanded through a combination of organic growth and more recently bolstered by acquisition.

    Service is now delivered by over 10,000+ staff across 50+ offices. The Apex Group administers circa $2.3 trillion in assets, including the investments of some of the largest funds and institutional investors in the world

    Tax Associate Private Equity & Hedge

    The Role & Key Responsibilities:


    Tax Associates focus on tax compliance of private equity, Hedge Funds, venture capital and real estate funds, and serve as members of various client service teams.

    M ust possess technical knowledge of tax preparation and compliance related to pass-through entities.

    In addition to the preparation of tax returns, Tax Associates may assist Seniors/Managers in identifying client issues and research as they become more experienced.

    Tax Associates must possess and maintain strong written and oral presentation skills.


    Skills Required:
    1.5 -3 years of basic GAAP accounting principles and partnership taxation experience
    Knowledge of Federal taxation concepts and exposure to foreign informational reporting requirements and state tax returns is a plus
    Experience with BNA, CCH, Checkpoint or other tax research tools a plus, not required
    Experience with tax software (CCH /ProSystem , Fa stTax/ OneSource/ GoSystems)
    Strong computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Excel & other Microsoft Office products
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree and/or an advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, JD or L.L.M. is a plus, but not required
    Strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
    Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel
    CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification a plus, but not required
