- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of MEP materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for construction activities.
- Conduct regular site meetings with project teams to review progress, address issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Lead and manage project teams, including MEP engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and support staff, to ensure the successful execution of project goals and objectives.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, set priorities, and provide guidance and direction to ensure the timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability among project team members to promote excellence and drive project success.
- Develop detailed project budgets and cost estimates based on project requirements, scope, and specifications.
- Monitor project expenses, track costs against budgetary allocations, and implement cost-control measures to optimize project profitability.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Address any deficiencies or non-conformities identified during inspections and implement corrective measures to maintain quality and mitigate risks.
- Document and maintain accurate records of MEP installations, including test reports, as-built drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, communicating regularly with clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project team members to foster collaboration, trust, and positive project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (3 years) as a project manager, with a focus on MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, equipment, and materials relevant to commercial, industrial, and institutional construction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credentials (preferred).
