- Cultivates and upholds excellent customer service standards at the front-end, focusing on associate appearance and behavior
- Promptly addresses customer concerns following standard operating procedures to deliver exceptional experiences
- Monitors cashier product handling, scanning techniques, and enforces shrink control procedures to minimize losses
- Recruits, trains, and schedules front-end associates
- Completes all necessary department paperwork
- Enforces safety, sanitation, and operational policies to ensure a secure environment for both customers and associates
- Oversees compliance with regulations related to alcohol, tobacco, food stamps, and WIC
- Manages inventory of front-end supplies and conducts internal audits to maintain policy adherence
- Prepares and retains reports and logs for audits and inspections
- Assists Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager as required
- Travel Required: No
- Store: Grocery Warehouse (50°F to 90°F)
- Specialized Knowledge: Proficient in all front-end operations with strong decision-making and leadership abilities
- Special Skills: Basic computer skills, exceptional customer service, effective communication, management, conflict resolution, and multitasking skills
- Physical Abilities: Walking, balancing, pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, stooping, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and working in varied temperatures; Operating equipment including Cash Register or EZ-Scan, Scanner, Computer, Telephone System, Scale, Currency Counter, Calculator
- Other: Familiarity with store systems such as POS, receiving, payroll, scheduling, and pallet jack operation
- Other: Reading, writing, basic math skills, and handling currencies
- 0-2: 1-3 years previous retail experience, ideally in front-end operations
