- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead all accounting functions including net assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, investment tracking, fixed assets, cash management, bank reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate all audit activity, 990s, month end close, reconcile all accounts on a monthly basis.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization's financial status.
- Ensure that the organization has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.
- Work closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations.
- Partner with the CFO, senior leadership, and the human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate finance, HR, and IT functions.
- Oversee 1-2 full time staff.

- Qualifications:
- CPA is highly preferred.
- 5-7 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including at least 1-2 years senior finance management role.
- Experience with Sage Intaact, preferred.
- Good judgment; capable of evaluating alternative methods to achieve quality outcomes.
- High level of accountability, responsibility, and dependability; results- and solution-oriented.

- Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000.

About the Controller Role:
BRIC seeks a Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be involved in supporting presentations to the board finance and audit committee and will work closely with the senior leadership team. The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a budget of $17MM and supervise a team of 1-2 staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration.
