- Must possess US Citizenship and able to obtain Secret Government Security clearance
- 5+ years of experience of growing and leading successful software development teams
- 5+ years of experience leadingand successfully delivering large and complex technical projects from concept to production
- Sound understanding and demonstrable experience building and operating large scale global distributed systems
- Sound understanding of cloud architecture patterns, observability, and operations
- Demonstrable understanding of the software development life cycle
- Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
- Demonstrable project management experience in delivering large cross functional projects
- Bachelor's degreein Computer Science or related engineering field Preferred Experiences/Skills
- Masters in Computer Science or related engineering fields
- Experience developing and delivering software solutions in US government agencies
- Experience leading teams developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one services
- Working knowledge of Linux

Job Description Responsibilities You must be a self-organized, disciplined software development leader with experience in building highly scalable, distributed, cloud-based servicesIn this role you will be responsible for building a team, coordinating the design, and approval of a new OCI service, and delivering a team culture that focuses on the fundamental principles of SDLC, with an emphasis on testing, quality assurance, and toil-free operations
Strong collaboration & communications skills are a must as you will work across organizational boundaries and frequently collaborate with OCI senior leadership
Though not relevant initially, you will be delivering a service that requires 24x7x365 support, so a passion for operations and on-call availability will be required
You will have program management support, but ultimately you are responsible for your outcomes, so anticipate building and driving an Agile development culture that not only tracks progress, but fosters innovation, team ownership and iterative delivery
