    Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electronic Systems Design Engineers to support a Space and Launch Program, Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) in Tukwila, Washington which is in the Puget Sound area.

    We focus on rapid prototyping and program development to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers.

    You will play a key role with a group that works all facets of engineering:
    concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

    You will work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team developing unique systems to meet challenging requirements on a dynamic development program.


    Position Responsibilities:
    Analyze and translate system requirements into avionics systems and communication systems hardware and software product requirements and interface specifications. Work with suppliers to develop and document product requirements. Deliver system and sub-systems products and support system-level integration.
    Develop trade studies, analyze results, and perform design reviews.
    Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
    Conduct tests and validate electrical system to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. In order to meet security standards and protocols, all work is performed onsite in Tukwila, WA. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, domestically, depending on business needs. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
    1+ years of experience with either RF Communications Systems Engineering or Optical Communications Systems Engineering. (Must be a full year of one or the other, not combined.)
    1+ years with Aerospace Systems or Space Systems products.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    Experience working with aerospace platforms or programs.
    Electrical Engineering degree.
    Space-related product or program experience (i.e. satellites, spacecraft, missile systems, ...).
    Communication systems (microwave and optical) experience.
    An Active Top Secret clearance or SSBI Tier 5 within the past 5 years

    Experienced:
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Lead:
    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
