    Job Description Quality Technician

    Location: San Antonio
    Pay Rate: $32.00-$42.00/Hour
    Additional Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), company-paid holidays and more
    Type of hire: 12-month contract with potential for extension
    Expected Overtime: 20 hours per week expected. Plus weekends as needed
    Travel: 75%; to Canada, Mexico, and possibly to Japan. Should be ready to travel immediately. Responsible for doing hands-on work and office work. Travel could last at most 2 weeks or max 3 weeks.

    Professional Summary:
    Responsible for confirming that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended. The Robotics technician is also responsible for supporting machine-savvy activity at North American International companies from the installation to the start of production.

    Position Responsibilities :
    • Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
    • Gathering part information from Digital Engineering systems.
    • Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
    • Supporting Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
    • Troubleshooting equipment, tooling, parts and part fitting.
    • Analyzing part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
    Position Requirements :
    • 3 years' experience preferred in quality
    • Travel in percentage: 60% Travel required in USA, Mexico and CanadaCapable of using Vectorarm, FARO (portable measuring instrument), scanners, or similar portable CMM equipment.
    • Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
    • Able to create and maintain schedules.
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime. Mostly on Weekend. OT start 7 am to 4 pm, depends on the weekend. 50% overtime possibility.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.

    Additional Desired Qualifications, preferred but not required:
    • Knowledge of DE tools related to Welding (3D Magic, PolyWorks, Catia)
    • Knowledge of metrology, weld tooling design, weld tool fabrication, and CAD design experience
    GTA Questions :

    REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:
    If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days, depending on customer payment terms.
