    Position Title: Welding Technician/ Quality Technician

    Location: San Antonio TX 78264

    Duration: 12 Months

    Job Type: Contract

    Work Type: Onsite

    Overtime: 50%; Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime. Mostly on the Weekend. OT starts from 07:00 AM to 04:00 PM, depending on the weekend.

    Travel: 75%, in the USA, Mexico, Canada, and probably to Japan. Candidates should be comfortable to travel almost immediately and in the worst case, they'll be required to travel for at the most 19 days.

    Pay Rate: $30-35/Hourly/W2

    Responsibilities

    • Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy, using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
    • Gathering part information from Digital Engineering systems. Checking part quality using hand tools and quality-checking fixtures.
    • Supporting Sheet metal Sub-assy and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
    • Troubleshooting equipment, tooling, parts, and part fitting
    • Analyzing part and sub-assembly data and providing feedback to project leader(s)

    Required Skills:

    • Automotive Quality experience (Aerospace will also work).
    • 3 years experience preferred in quality.
    • Capable of using Vectorarm, FARO, scanners, or similar portable CMM equipment.
    • Strong Computer skills, including MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
    • Able to create and maintain schedules.
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.

    Additional Desired Qualifications, preferred but not required:

    • Knowledge of DE tools related to Welding (3D Magic, PolyWorks, Catia).
    • Knowledge of metrology, weld tooling design, weld tool fabrication, and CAD design experience
