    Summary

    In support of and under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors, analyzes and solves quality problems, prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling plan applications, prepares procedures, trains inspectors, performs process and product audits, analyzes quality costs and other quality data, applies fundamental statistical methods for process control, and can function in all Inspection areas (Receiving, In-Process, and Final).

    As assigned, is capable of calibrating tools and equipment, operating CMM, and performing various quality lab tests as directed by the Quality Engineer.

    Essential Functions


    • Perform quality inspections and audits in a variety of business situations from manufacturing to office operations.
    • Collect, analyze and report on data pertinent to the quality of the product or service.
    • Plan, organize and implement for statistical process control.
    • Participate in problem solving corrective action and preventative action tasks.
    • As assigned, perform as Calibration, CMM and/or Test Technician.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Required:

    • Math skills for data analysis.
    • Computer skills for data collection, record keeping and reports.
    • Good Interpersonal communication skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    Desired:

    • Leadership skill in participating in or leading a team.
    • Creative problem solving skills.
    Education and Experience


    • H.S. diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required.
    • Previous experience writing operator instructions preferred.
    • Able to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
    • Computer literate - knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality environment required.
