Renewable Energy Intern - Fort Worth, United States - AUI Partners
Description
As a Renewable Energy Intern, you will be working directly with project team members and will have the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge with hands-on experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who have a desire to continue their future in Renewable Energy construction.
Please note this is a paid internship. Office location is at our headquarter office Fort Worth, TX .
Responsibilities:
+ Assist Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
+ Attend project meetings with project personnel, operations management team, and client/owner representatives
+ Conduct safety audits and quality audits
+ Read and understand drawings and specifications
+ Log submittals, process RFIs and prepare reports
+ Coordinate material deliveries and documentation
+ Assist in preparing memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents
+ Assist with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing
+ Assist with all project documentation and data entry tasks
+ Assist with the coordination and communication with subcontractors and vendors
+ Represent AUI with the highest standard of professionalism at all times
+ You will provide a presentation to the management team at the end of your internship to provide insight into your experience.
+ Perform other duties as needed
+ May be required to travel to jobsites.
+ Actively pursuing a bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or renewable energy/electrical engineering.
+ A desire to continue pursuing a career in the construction industry (Renewable Energy preferred)
+ Strong computer skills are a necessity
+ Coachable and willing to learn
+ Can work in a team or individually
+ Be available to work full-time during the internship period and travel/relocate to job sites (Per diem offered when travel is required)
+ Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
+ Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
+ Valid Drivers License and state minimum auto insurance required as you may have to travel to a jobsite
+ Reliable transportation required
