    A reputable organization is looking to hire a Qualified Purchasing Agent.

    MUST HAVE A QPA CERTIFICATION TO APPLY

    Job Description:

    1. Establishes and develops accepted purchasing methods and records in accordance with prescribed laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.

    2. Review requisitions for operating and maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.

    3. Locate and investigate reputable sources of supply.

    4. Prepares specifications, maintains bidder's lists, and prepares purchase contracts.

    5. Reviews bids, makes recommendations, and communicates directly with vendors.

    6. Develop and implement a centralized purchasing system, including all necessary procedures, forms, and files.

    7. Prepares periodic reports, statements, budgets, and transfers.

    8. Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of subordinates.

    Job Requirements:

    · Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

    · Five (5) years of professional experience writing purchase specifications and purchasing equipment, materials, and supplies on a large scale.

    · Possess a valid Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) certification issued by the State Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs.
