Finance Purchasing Agent Level II-Provisional

GENERAL DUTIES

  • This position involves responsible purchasing of materials with varying degrees of autonomy within a large bureau or organization.
  • There are three assignment levels within this role, with all personnel performing related tasks.

Assignment Level I

  • Responsible for purchasing a variety of materials in assigned fields.
  • Reviews purchasing requisitions and analyzes market conditions for optimal purchasing decisions.
  • Prepares bids, evaluates quotations, and ensures compliance with specifications.
  • Communicates with vendors and maintains purchasing records.

Assignment Level II

  • Handles more complex purchasing tasks involving significant expenditure and ongoing complex problems.
  • Responsible for purchasing materials that require careful consideration and attention to detail.

Assignment Level III

  • Supervises purchasing activities and coordinates with multiple commodity units.
  • Reviews contracts, approves recommendations, and oversees open market transactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires high school graduation and four years of full-time purchasing experience, or a relevant bachelor's degree plus one year of experience.

COMPENSATION

The salary ranges from $53,457 to $60,405 based on experience and qualifications.
