Purchasing Agent - Long Island City, United States - Extech Building Materials
Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase Order Creation
- Purchase order confirmation receipt and verification of pricing and item data
- Verification of pricing, unit of measure, lead time, etc.
- Work with accounting to clear invoicing issues
- Research and ordering nonstocks; ensuring order compliance
- Coordinate returns and credits for missing, expired, and damaged goods with vendors
- Obtaining proof of delivery and invoices for direct shipments
- Perform additional duties as requested to achieve company objectives
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Intermediate math skills knowledge of unit of measure and conversion
- Strong Excel Skills knowledge a VLookup and Pivot tables
- Organization and communication skills
- Travel between multiple locations may be required
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge of building materials

- System
- Extech uses Epicor Prophet 21; will train

Pay:
$50, $70,000.00 per year

- 10 hour shift

Experience:
- Procurement: 1 year (preferred)
- Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Long Island City, NY 11101: Relocate before starting work (required)
