These teams—impact labs—work together on complex social problems. With our support, they can develop, test, and scale new solutions to social problems that affect millions of people worldwide.

The Innovation & Partnerships team works closely with the Investments & Accountability team at SIL to support funded research teams and their external partners through workshops, direct coaching, the facilitation of innovation processes, and building sustained partnerships with organizations in the public and social impact sector that can help teams scale their insights.

This team also works closely with Stanford University's Office of Community Engagement to deepen the university's place-based approaches to address critical issues in the region in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

    ABOUT THE ROLE
Stanford Impact Labs seeks a Partnerships Program Manager to: 1) develop and execute strategies that help SIL and our impact labs strengthen partnership-based approaches to advance social impact; and 2) deliver training and coaching to impact labs on partnership strategies and community engagement practices with an equity lens.

The Partnerships Program Manager's responsibilities include:
    Partnership development and management

Develop and maintain a portfolio of institutional and individual relationships for SIL to strengthen our ability to partner equitably with communities to put social science to work for society.

Develop pathways for SIL, our scholars, and our impact labs to learn from those in social movement leaders/coalitions, government agencies and their associations, nonprofit organizations, and social impact leaders in the private sector.

Work closely with the Office of Community Engagement to build out a sustainable university-wide approach to place-based, enterprise efforts to address the racial wealth gap in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Organize and facilitate an emerging collaborative of public and private colleges and universities acting collectively using the anchor mission framework to advance health equity and racial justice in the region.

Support maintenance of a database of referral organizations and potential enabling and scaling partners for SIL funded labs' research insights and evidence-based interventions

Work closely with the Communications & Outreach team at SIL to implement a recurring communications plan to keep external stakeholders informed and aware of SIL's thought leadership in putting social science to use for society.

Attend conferences and convenings to stay abreast of social impact trends affecting historically marginalized populations, particularly within SIL's thematic windows: health equity, democracy and polarization, economic opportunity, and racial justice.

Training and coaching on partnerships and community engagement practices

Working closely with the rest of the Innovation & Partnerships team, design and deliver capacity building offerings to scholars and impact labs on best practices in partnership development and management, community engagement practices with a community power-building lens, and collaborations that advance equity in social science research.

Facilitate virtual and in-person workshops for scholars and impact labs.
