Position Overview:
RRI is seeking tech-savvy energy project managers to join our team of advisors supporting the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU).

We're looking for diverse backgrounds in defense operational energy and energy resilience, electric vehicles, advanced materials and battery technologies, cleantech and alternative fuels, infrastructure and supply chain industry experience.

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

This position can also be located in Boston or DC and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI elibility and U.S.

citizenship.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify DoD problems that could be solved by commercial solutions and actively lead problem curation processes with customers and diverse stakeholder communities
  • Participate in outreach, collaboration, and mentorship with commercial vendors, industry, academia, other nontraditional vendors, DoD entities, program offices, and recognized technical experts throughout the execution of DIU's acquisition and prototyping phases
  • Assist with the business and technical evaluation of commercial technologies
  • Serve as the lead facilitator of the DIU Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) process, ultimately leading to the award of an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) prototype contracts and management of multiple awarded efforts at any given time

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:


  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Education and relevant training in an engineering, scientific, business, or financerelated field
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in product, project, program management in a commercial technology or DoD capacity.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, interpersonal and clienthandling skills
  • Ability to work independently as part of a large and dispersed team, and report progress in a timely and succinct manner
  • Ability to execute to the highest standards to drive quality, build relationships and protect the DIU brand and reputation
  • Prior experience supporting R&D prototypes for government clients (DOD, DOE, etc.) in a management, development, or acquisitions capacity

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Active TS with SCI eligibility
  • Direct prior experience supporting and leading government and commercial vendor collaborative teams to rapidly iterate and deliver project tasks and milestones
