EMD, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright in Cheswick, PA designs, manufactures, tests and provides after-market support for the most advanced, proven and reliable critical function pumps, motors, generators, seals, control rod drive mechanisms and power conditioning electronics available anywhere in the world today. Curtiss-Wright EMD has a long-standing and distinguished reputation for the design, development, manufacture and qualification of critical-function machining solutions for the United States Navy and the commercial nuclear utility industry.

**Your Challenge:**
+ Evaluates bids, selects and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, delivery, quality and service.
+ Follows up on all awards until completion of order.
+ Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes.
+ Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.
+ Responsible for complying with corporate policies, procedures and underlying Federal, state and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials, or services.
**What you bring:**
+ Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field and 2-8 years of purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Government procurement experience
+ Ability to make decisions or suggestions based on rules or procedures
+ Experience with ERP Systems with Oracle ERP system preferred
+ Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
+ Organized, self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented; ability to multi-task
+ Have a good sense for priority setting and time management; ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
+ Ability to work individually with minimal supervision or with a team
+ Keen attention to detail and accuracy
+ Working knowledge of basic contract law
+ Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
