    Description

    UWL is seeking an experienced International Logistics General Manager to lead the team in Houston, TX.

    The General Manager oversees the operations team, providing guidance, corrective action, and support, with assistance from department managers or supervisors. They have a responsibility to ensure client satisfaction, financial stability, staff growth, and sales targets achievement.

    Your daily tasks will include:

    • Ensuring customs compliance.
    • Managing post entry operations and daily support.
    • Client setup and maintenance.
    • Overseeing all products and services.
    • Assisting in business growth and profit.
    • Monitoring financial goals.
    • Assisting in rate negotiations.
    • Collaborating with the sales team for business opportunities.
    • Conducting staff interviews, hiring, and terminations.
    • Overseeing timekeeping and annual reviews.
    • Implementing salary changes.

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • High School Diploma or GED (College Degree preferred).
    • 7+ years industry experience (5+ years in management).
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Proven problem-solving skills.
    • Effective leadership abilities.
    • Teamwork mindset.
    • Project management experience.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to make strategic decisions.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Capability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours.
