    Description

    Are you an experienced Medical Lab Professional seeking a new challenge in your career? LabCorp is looking for a Lab Technologist to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused, and challenging environment.

    Schedule: Tues-Saturday with Rotating Mondays as needed

    Hours: 8 Hours a week

    Shift: 1st - Morning

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • The primary responsibility is performing CBC differentials with additional duties in the Hematology department
    • Determine specimen acceptability based on established criteria
    • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPs
    • Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper functionality
    • Make technical decisions and solve problems
    • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
    • Report accurate test results promptly for quality patient care
    • Perform and document maintenance and quality control procedures
    • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
    • Assist with specimen processing
    • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate protective equipment
    • Run high complexity testing in the Hematology Department
    • Ability to troubleshoot QC and instrument issues
    • Manage multi-tasking and instrument maintenance
    • Expect overtime as needed

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science as required by CLIA
    • Previous experience with Sysmex XN, Siemens CS-5100, BioRad IH-1000, Siemens Novus/UD/UN
    • Ability to work independently and in a team
    • Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems
    • Attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills
    • Pass a standardized color vision screen
    • Flexibility for overtime or shift changes
