Diagnostic Allergy, part of LabCorp Specialty Testing Group is seeking a Technician Trainee to work in our laboratory in Phoenix, AZ Our commitment to superior service and quality ensures that we provide our clients with the accurate results and scientific expertise to make informed decisions towards patient care. The schedule for this position will be: 3rd shift

Shift differential offered for is 15% Sunday - Wednesday 6 pm - 4:30 am.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Immunocap in vitro test system for the quantitative measurement of circulating IgE in human serum.
• This position will work independently (1 assay/1 Technician) and will be responsible for the structure of their day
• Set up analyzers and make reagents
• Interpret results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations
• Evaluate samples to determine appropriateness of patient results in the setting of sample matrix, anticoagulant status, and clinical relevance
• Comply with all regulatory and department standard operating procedures.
• Participate in all quality aspects of our CAP and ISO 15189 accredited laboratory operation
• Multitasking, pipetting and technical skills and time management are all keys to success in the Allergy department

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or similar life science discipline
• Previous experience working in a clinical lab setting preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and critically assess one's own work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot a process based on an established procedure
• Strong time-management skills
