    Patchwork Philly in the Hyatt Centric @ 1620 Chancellor Street
    Patchwork Philly is looking for a banquet cook


    This is a fairly broad position The primary job will be prepping for banquets at least three days a week, in the PM.

    A good candidate will be someone with a good amount of experience with basic cooking techniques and recipes.

    An example of your prep list would be something like:


    • Make 25# of potato salad
    • Cut & purge 18# of summer squash
    • Lay out 15 trays of bacon
    • Grill 50 chicken breasts
    • Make 4 fruit plates


    If you look at that and feel like you can take care of it all with minimal input, then you'd probably be a good candidate.


    Banquets tend to come in waves, so we'd also have you train on the PM line so you can help out there when needed/when there isn't enough banquet prep for you to get your hours that way.

    Very rare for dinner to be busy though.

    If you're looking for full time, we'd also have you train on executing the banquets and service prep

    Exact schedule for prep days is pretty flexible, but would be Mon-Wed in the PM


    This is not definitively a seasonal position, but as we move past the busy season there will naturally be some contracting hours.
