    Cardi & Schulte, LLC, a boutique firm in southeast Denver specializing in professional liability defense and construction litigation is looking for an associate attorney to join our team As an Associate Attorney, you will have the chance to develop your legal skills, build client relationships, and make a significant impact on our client's lives and businesses.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various cases, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents to provide accurate and timely advice to clients and support senior attorneys in case preparation.
    • Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, agreements, memoranda, and briefs, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to legal requirements.
    • Client Representation: Assist in representing clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution forums. Conduct client interviews, gather evidence, and prepare witnesses for trial when required.
    • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload effectively, including organizing documents, drafting discovery requests and responses, and maintaining case files. Monitor case deadlines and proactively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
    • Legal Counseling: Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients, offering creative and practical solutions tailored to their specific needs and objectives.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies, share knowledge, and ensure the overall success of the firm. Mentor and provide guidance to junior associates and legal assistants.
    • Professional Development: Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal trends through continuous learning and professional development activities. Attend relevant seminars, workshops, and conferences to enhance legal skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of experience practicing law in a reputable firm or in-house legal department. Experience in litigation, corporate law, construction law, real estate, or a specialized area is preferred.
    • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply legal principles to complex situations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively while meeting deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
