    Description

    Job Summary: The Accountant provides support and assistance to the company?s finance team. Areas of accountability include month end closing, monthly reporting, financial review, and serving as a communication link with HQ for the finance division.

    Job Tasks and Business Decisions

    • Assist in all month-end closing duties, including assigned journal entries and performing a review of invoices entered during the month by the AP & AR personnel
    • Maintain the month-end account reconciliations and verify accuracy of journal entries. This includes a month end review of our inventory position.
    • Assist Finance Manager with the financial operations of the company covering accounting, treasury management, budgeting, audit and taxation
    • Prepare and review the monthly/quarterly financial reports to be provided to HQ Finance. Ensure that reports are sent in a timely manner and answer any inquiries from HQ Finance.
    • Assist Finance Manager with the monthly financial statement review with local management. Perform financial analysis of monthly results and investigate any outliers.
    • Perform the monthly bank reconciliation and ensure that payments are being applied in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for reviewing the weekly AR Aging report and corresponding with HQ Finance. Also ensuring the AR team is following up with customers.
    • Assist Finance Manager with the annual audit, as well as any special projects, such as new accounting policies and new banking arrangements
    • Assist to guide and develop staff in their individual growth and refinement of critical thinking and communication
    • Supports HQ in Singapore with Accounting inquiries
    • Works with Accounting team on tasks/issues as needed
    • Drive and implement process improvement and analytical ideas for the organization to improve efficiency and profitability
    • Any other assigned duties

    Required Experience regarding the job

    • Bachelor Degree Business Administration. Finance or Accounting
    • Experience with accounting department operations
    • AP/AR Experience
    • SAP Experience a plus
    • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
    • Maintain professional appearance and communication, both in person, electronically, and via telephone
    • Independently motivated to produce results
    • Must have strong multi-tasking and time management skills
    • Ability to work in an empowered team environment, including the ability to effectively communicate, share information, resolve issues, and give and receive both positive and negative feedback in a respectful and professional manner
