The Role:

Presidio Federal has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager SME to join the Federal business in Reston, VA.

This individual will be responsible for delivering tasks and projects on time and on budget.

The Program Manager will focus on delivery excellence by demonstrating leadership, strong client and team trust, solid program and project management core skills, and the ability to handle all the administrative aspects of a program and the associated projects.

In addition to client-focused program delivery, Program Managers are encouraged to be involved in process improvement activities for the practice.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the performance of technical projects or a definable portion of a larger technical program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities.
  • Manages the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation, and testing in accordance with project objectives.
  • Responsible for acquiring followon business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Leads projects from original concept through final implementation, and interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Manage relationships and coordinates work between program workstreams including vendors, customers, subcontractors, and engineering teams throughout various locations.
  • Track and maintain an accurate and continually updated view of the activities and deliverables to ensure all projects within a program are delivered on time, within budget, and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction goals.
  • Assure that the expected service levels are met and that all Statement of Work deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Perform daytoday management of all phases of the program including requirements, design, development, test, and deployment.
  • Oversees Change Management on the overall program scope, according to a predefined change process, to meet program goals.
  • Develops a partner relationship with the client for the longterm benefit of the client and Presidio.
  • Actively participates in the development of Program and Project Management practices by participating in internal change initiatives.
  • Support and participate in proposal development and preparation pursuant to RFx assignments.
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships within the various decisionmakers and influencers at all levels at each target account.
  • Understand each target customer?s business model, map their organization, and identify their unique technology needs.
