    The Role: As a Network Security Engineer at Presidio Federal, your primary role is to protect the U.S. Federal Government's network infrastructure by delivering comprehensive network security solutions. You'll leverage your expertise in Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, Access Management solutions, and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies to implement network segmentation within a Zero Trust Architecture. Your proficiency with agent-based and cloud-native solutions will be key in advancing our security framework. You'll also apply your knowledge in network security automation, using SOAR, SIEM, and IaC products. Your role is both technical and strategic, ensuring our security solutions align with federal standards and adapt to evolving threats. Your contributions will directly impact the security posture and resiliency of our nation's critical network infrastructure.

    • Deliver comprehensive network security solutions integral to the Zero Trust Architecture.
    • Implement intricate network segmentation within a Zero Trust Architecture.
    • Apply knowledge in network security automation.
    • Ensure that security solutions align with federal standards and directives.
    • Prioritize the configuration and management of Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Radius, TACACS+, and firewall technologies.
    • Integrate agent-based security solutions like Illumio and CrowdStrike.
    • Familiarize with SOAR and SIEM solutions.
    • Leverage automation and scripting languages along with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize network solutions.
    • Engage with customer's operations in day-to-day activities.
    • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, provide technical support.
    • Lead efforts to enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with TIC 3.0, NIST and other standards/Executive Orders.
    • Keep detailed records of security configurations, policies, and procedures.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
    • Actively takes part in proposal efforts as necessary or defined by management
    Position Requirements

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Sophisticated understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, particularly Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass.
    • Proficiency with agent-based solutions like Illumio.
    • Acumen in cloud-native solutions like Network Security Groups.
    • Knowledge in network security automation, leveraging Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products.
    • Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Java, Go, or Rust) along with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi.
    • Ability to design, implement, and optimize network solutions that meet business requirements, including performance, scalability, and security.
    • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, provide technical support.
    • Knowledge of TIC 3.0, NIST and other standards/Executive Orders.
    • Ability to keep detailed records of security configurations, policies, and procedures.
    • Willingness to stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
    • Must Have Certifications: CCNA and CompTIA Security+.
    • Nice To Have Certifications: CCNP, CCNP-Security SISE, CCIE, CISM, CISSP, CEH, CISA, GSEC, SSCP, CCSK, CASP+, OSCP, OSCE, PCNSA, Illumio Core Associate, F5 Certified Technical Specialist 303/304, F5 Certified Solution Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, MS Certified Azure Administrator Associate.
    • Expertise in NAC and Access Management: In-depth experience with Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and F5 APM/WAF.
    • Proficiency with NGFW and Segmentation: Skilled in deploying and managing NGFW technologies like Palo Alto and agent-based segmentation solutions like Illumio.
    • Proficiency with Network Route/Switch: Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VXLAN, VPC, QoS, MPLS, IPSEC, HSRP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, PIM, SD-WAN, NAT, etc.
    • Automation and Integration: Demonstrated knowledge of SOAR, SIEM, and IaC for enhancing network security operations.
    • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance.
