    Description

    We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Naperville. The chosen candidate will oversee day-to-day logistics operations, focusing on import and/or domestic operations. The main responsibility is to ensure that UPM's logistics vendors/partners are performing optimally to meet the company's and customers' needs.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing daily logistics operations within UPM's North American network, covering ports, warehouses, mills, and overseas shipments
    • Providing accurate logistics capacity forecasts
    • Managing vendor capacity in collaboration with vendors
    • Handling exceptions and prioritizing orders
    • Ensuring timely shipments and expediting when necessary
    • Enhancing vendor operations to streamline processes and boost efficiencies (e.g., developing load planning procedures, custom clearance processes)
    • Implementing cost-effective solutions while upholding service levels
    • Planning efficient transportation loads for designated warehouses, ports, and/or mills
    • Communicating internally with various departments, such as customer service and order fulfillment, as well as overseas mills to address logistics matters and resolve issues until final product delivery
    • Engaging externally with vendors, customs brokers, and other third parties for assigned logistics operations
    • Assisting and guiding other internal teams on logistical concerns
    • Continuously reconciling inventory between UPM and mill systems for designated warehouse(s), including annual physical stock audits and reconciliation
