The Logistics Coordinator manages day to day logistics operations as they pertain to import and/or domestic operations as assigned.
This includes continually steering UPM's logistics vendors/partners to perform in a manner that is optimal for UPM and its customers as well as balance the needs of the vendors/partners.

What you will do:
- Oversee daily logistics operations related to UPM's North American logistics network including ports, warehouses, mills and overseas shipments as assigned
- Provide accurate logistics capacity forecasting
- Vendor capacity management in cooperation with vendors
- Management of exceptions and order prioritization
- Effective shipment followup and expediting to ensure ontime delivery
- Develop vendor operations which improve business processes and increase efficiencies (i.e. load planning procedure development, custom clearance processes)
- Implementation of cost effective solutions which maintain service levels
- Efficient and effective transportation load planning for assigned warehouses, ports and/or mill locations
- Internal communication and collaboration with other departments including customer service and order fulfillment and overseas mills as it relates to logistics operations including problem solving/resolution until final delivery of product to the customer
- External communication and collaboration with vendors, custom broker(s) and/or other relevant third parties for assigned logistics operations
- Support and steer other internal functions with respect to logĂstical issues
- Ongoing reconciliation of inventory across UPM and mill systems for assigned warehouse(s), including annual physical stocktaking and reconciliation
Who you are:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- At least three (3) years' experience in logistics or a related field, five (5) years preferred Knowledge related to customs and/or compliance preferred depending on job assignments

- Basic knowledge related to UPM's value chain and supply chain activities
- Basic knowledge related to UPM's order fulfillment cycle
- Ability to balance service and cost within one's daily work

- Ability to handle inquires as well as identify and resolve problems

- Knowledge related to CTPAT certification
- Advanced skills and knowledge related to customs administration
