    Responsibilities

    The Pharmacy Clinical Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs. This includes clinical program design, formulary management, policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum as well as supporting, mentoring and overseeing the activities of the clinical pharmacists. The Clinical Manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director or designee is unavailable.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
    • ACLS certification
    • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
    • Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist (or equivalent experience)
    • Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting including one of the following:
      1. Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or fellowship AND Completion of a PGY-2 Specialty Pharmacy Residency or fellowship (in an appropriate specialty field)
      2. Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy residency or fellowship AND 3 years clinical pharmacy experience (if no PGY-2 is completed)
      3. 5 years clinical pharmacy experience with no history of residency or fellowship

    Preferred Job Requirements:

    • Hospital Pharmacy management experience
    • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification (or attained within 1 year)
