    Summary/Objective The Beloit Sky Carp Promotions/Entertainment internship explores the world of professional sports promotion.

    Interns get an immersive experience offering a chance to gain knowledge of theme nights, gameday fan experience, on-field activities, sponsorship requirements, and much more.

    The Sky Carp look to help shape the future of sports professionals by offering in depth professional development and leadership trainings to all interns.

    An intern with the Beloit Sky Carp will learn in an organization and environment that is recognized as one of the most up-and-coming in minor league baseball.

    The Sky Carp's goal is to provide each intern valuable learning experience while the college or university course requirements are met.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust be willing to smile, laugh and embrace a culture of positivityPlan and coordinate assorted theme nights and promotional events, includes incorporating sponsors and securing special guestSchedule and coordinate National Anthem Singers, First Pitches, and pregame performancesAssist with pregame entertainment and giveawaysFacilitate creative on-field entertainment between innings Assist in management of the The Gaggle (Street Team) employeesOrganize and clean Gaggle equipment and gearAttend Baseball U to obtain knowledge and professional developmentParticipate in professional development trainingCoordinate and assist Poopsie at games and community eventsProvide customer service to fans and patronsProvide front desk coverage including answering phones and helping guestRequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesOutgoing and customer service orientedComfortable in front of large crowdsOpen for professional feedback and composition critiquesHigh level of integrityGrade point average of 3.0 or higherLeadership demonstrated in school organizations, sports and/or work experiences Strong analytical and mathematical skillsStrong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently and self-motivateStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goalsExcellent communication skills, both oral and written Ability to attend company events of all typesAbility to learn and adapt in fast changing environmentsAbility to learn in flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to pull tarp and other manual labor tasks, part of the baseball learning experience Due to the strong community support of the Sky CArp, persons from the greater Stateline area or who are attending local area schools are preferredEducation and ExperienceInterns are unpaid students and they must be part of a college or university program or course .

    Previous customer service experience a plus.
    Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a seasonal, part-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.

    Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    The key physical requirements of this position include the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
