Position Overview
As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of payroll management through ADP Workforce Now, providing essential communication and resource support.
Key Responsibilities:
Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls
Individual contributor responsible for payroll, reporting and analysis
Ensuring smooth operations and timely resolution of discrepancies
Conduct thorough audits of payroll transactions to guarantee accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
Maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure adherence to payroll and tax laws
Stay abreast of evolving labor legislation, employee insurance, and tax regulations, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance
Oversee and administer bonus programs effectively
Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Employee Service Support teams to assess cross-departmental impacts, generate comprehensive payroll reports, and implement best practices
Present findings and recommendations to senior executives, providing insights and guidance on payroll-related matters
Develop and execute "standard operating procedures" relating to ADP Payroll
Review and analyze current procedures, identify areas for improvement and develop and implement a standardization system
Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick, and vacation time in line with current policies.
Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)Manage audits:
payroll and worker's compensation
Onboard new employee within payroll
Lead compliance with labor law and reporting requirements, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, PFL, Paid Sick, Commuter Benefits, ERISA, EEO, DOL, workers compensation, and OSHA
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, CPP is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within a complex corporate environment
Must have Payroll Leadership experience overseeing a large, complex payroll function.
Prior experience leading payroll system conversions or implementations is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of payroll laws and multi-state state payroll
Proficiency in ADP payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
