    Job DescriptionAs a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your duties will be to maintain all equipment, buildings and grounds. Also, to learn other job tasks so you can fill in other positions as needed.

    We are looking for individuals who are able to work in 1st shift as well as open to working weekends and overtime.


    Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
    Direct responsibility for maintenance operations on a daily shift basisPreventative maintenance on all equipment, buildings and groundsPerform scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipmentPerform welding task within scope of workKnowledge of all equipment onsite and how it operatesAbility to read and understand all equipment manualsClean up any spills and residues in and around the facilityLeave work area or maintenance shop clean and organized at the end of each shiftAlways maintain a clean and organized work areaWear proper PPE as requiredAble to follow directions and work unsupervised at timesVerify, confirm and oversight all equipment to assure OSHA standards are met or exceededWork directly with Operations Manager and EHS to prioritize maintenance workOrder and oversee inventory of supplies needed for the maintenance departmentBe involved in mandatory pre-shift and post-shift safety and operational meetings detailing task to be completed on shift and review all safety including proper PPE and monitoringBe cross trained to fill in for production when neededQualifications

    Basic Required Qualifications:
    Strong background and knowledge of general maintenance and mechanical knowledgeStrong background in safe use of hand and power toolsGood communication skillsSafety-first mentalityMinimum of 3 years in maintenancePositive attitude and maintain production-focused attitudeGood problem-solving skillsMig and stick welding as well as use of oxygen/acetylene torchBenefits:Health benefits available Day 1401k available Day 110+ paid holidays/yearOvertime opportunitiesPotential for shift differential payAbility to be cross-trained into different roles
