    Job DetailsJob LocationTBD DAYTON - Dayton, OHPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelHigh SchoolTravel PercentageAs RequiredJob ShiftAnyAerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic - Dayton, OH*This position is Awaiting Contract Award*Job Description: The Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic performs necessary maintenance on a variety of equipment and determines equipment serviceability and proper operations.

    Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry. Disassembles, repairs, cleans, and reinstalls components. Replaces worn or broken parts, make adjustments and alignments as required, clean areas, and prepare equipment for full service.

    Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, and maintains AGE support equipment used in direct support of aircraft and supervises support equipment maintenance activities.
    • Advises on technical problems of repair, maintenance, and modification of support equipment.
    • Troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and modifies support equipment.
    • Perform On-the-Job Training for assigned trainees.
    • Documents all maintenance actions as prescribed by established procedures.
    • Performs acceptance inspections on newly assigned equipment.
    • Orders and receives parts.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Qualifications:

    • Five plus years' experience in Aerospace Ground Equipment operations.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance with program access.
    • Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair required.
    • Knowledge of and the ability to perform corrosion control utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Familiarity with the use of repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams, and schematics (electrical and hydraulic) necessary to troubleshoot and/or repair failed components.
    • Average to advanced computer skills necessary with an aptitude to acquire increased skills preferred.
    • Additional skills such as automotive mechanical background or millwright experience preferred. GSE experience is a plus.
