    Our well-established client needs an experienced Accounting Manager to help oversee accounting and finance functions for their department. The ideal candidate is a natural leader looking to grow with their new team.     This role anticipates a hybrid schedule and will require qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.

    Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager

    • Oversee and mentor accounting team members ensuring timely month and year end close.
    • Prepare financial statements/reports and present information to leadership.
    • Review accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance.
    • Develop and manage budgets; implement financial policies to maintain alignment with the organization's goals.
    • Lead annual audit preparations and serve as point person for external auditors.

    Accounting Manager Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA a plus.
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience including previous supervisory responsibility.
    • Strong knowledge of financial statements and external audit preparations.
    • Exposure to public or government accounting a plus.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
    • Tech-savvy with ERP systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
