    Job Summary:

    We are currently recruiting for the role of Facility Medical Director at CHIPPENHAM PEDIATRIC ER located in Richmond, VA.

    This leadership opportunity will oversee a growing (established) team of clinicians and advanced practice clinicians.


    Qualified Candidates:

    As Facility Medical Director (FMD) you will work closely in a peer "dyad" with the Regional Medical Director, Vice President of Operations and a dedicated Provider Services Team.

    The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in physician leadership, with current experience in clinical practice and exceptional clinical skills.

    We are seeking leaders who have a commitment to quality, operational and financial management experience, along with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with team physician and hospital leadership physicians.

    Must be residency trained in emergency medicine or pediatrics fellowship training in pediatric medicine
    Virginia licensure or ability to obtain

    About Chippenham Hospital:
    ~466-acute bed hospital with a Level I trauma provisional accreditation
    ~135-bed inpatient acute psychiatric hospital for child, adolescent, adult and geriatric admissions
    ~50-bed ER
    ~32-bed private medical surgical ICU, 12-bed private cardiovascular ICU integrated with our cardiovascular stepdown unit, 12-bed arrhythmia care unit, 8-bed pediatric ICU
    ~15 operating rooms with the latest surgical technology available, including robots that are used in thoracic and orthopedic surgeries
    ~35,000+ annual patient admissions, 95,000+ annual ER visits
