Job Summary

Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, provides volunteer coordination services. This position coordinates the recruitment, selection, placement, training, recognition, and evaluation of volunteers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist in the recruitment, orientation, supervision, recognition, and orientation and training of volunteers, as well as maintaining the volunteer database and scheduling calendar.
Responds to requests for volunteer service.
Assists with development of strategic plans and performance measures.
Provides administrative support for volunteer programs and provides customer services.
Develops and distributes community outreach materials.
May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

The ideal candidate possesses a combination of skills and qualities that enable them to effectively lead and coordinate volunteers. Some key attributes are people skills, leadership abilities, organizational skills, a passion for giving back, and recruitment & retention strategies.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal background, credit, and/or DMV check required.
A DMV check requires valid driver's license (will be subject to an annual driving record review).
