About us:

The UpCounty Hub was developed during the pandemic to meet the needs of local families disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.

Currently, the Hub provides food and essentials to over 1,300 families every week living in the Upper Montgomery County Region through home deliveries, community distributions, and assistance with social services.

In addition to food the Hub also distributes essentials including hygiene Kits, diapers, wipes, and formula.

The Hub also organizes holiday meals and gifts, collaborates on immunization, vaccination clinics, and serves as a partner in programs to benefit the wellness of the community served.

Essential Duties:

Collaborate with Community Partners on the recruitment of volunteers
Manage the scheduling of volunteers
Serve as an ambassador for Upcounty Hub to all constituents
Educate the volunteers on the safety protocols of The Hub
Educate the volunteers about the impact of the work of The Hub
Ensure all protocols are being followed
Maintain volunteer records: names, contact information and hours worked
Prepare reports as required on the volunteer program
Work with the HUB to develop volunteer appreciation programs
Create volunteer activity reports as needed
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Effective communication skills; written and verbal (English & Spanish preferred)
Good organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
Strong ability to multitask and problem solve
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook & Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
Represent the HUB at community meetings upon request
Ability to work to deadlines
