    OPPORTUNITY: Hands-on role that is detail and tactical as well as strategic, advisory, and process driven. Be the go-to from hourly to CEO. Partner with leadership on roadmap, business objectives, including organizational development, workforce planning, employee engagement, employee retention, compensation and benefits, employee development, and performance management. Build HR infrastructure from the bottom up (where necessary) while partnering on growth and evolution. Opportunities for process improvements. Responsibilities are as follows:

    • Organizational Development, Compensation & Benefits Administration: Review salary bands, merits, and perform benefits administration, including annual enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, review and approve monthly invoices for medical, dental, life, short term and long term disability for payment and communicating benefits information to employees. Recommend and coordinate benefit plan designs or revisions. Maintain HR records in compliance with federal and state rules and regulations, standards and laws.
    • Employment Federal & State Labor law: Subject matter expert of federal and state labor laws and benefits, including EEOC, FLSA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, Drug-Free Workplace Act, ERISA, FMLA, CT PFL and ACA rules, regulations, and compliance. Coordinate Leaves, including CT PFL, FMLA, Paid Family Leave.
    • Payroll: Process multi-state payroll for 100+ employees including Paylocity Payroll processing. Prepare payroll reports and resolve payroll issues or discrepancies.
    • Employee Relations, Learning & Development: Handle employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing. Investigate, document, and provide advice or recommendations to managers on issues related to the workforce, including conflict resolution, managing performance, corrective actions, grievances, and terminations. Conduct new employee orientation. Coordinate employee annual reviews.
    • Talent Acquisition & Management: Lead staffing efforts for the business from forecasting through new hire onboarding. Develop and deploy programs to engage employees. Drive talent management by administering regular performance reviews, designing career progression plans, facilitating performance improvement plans, coaching managers to effectively manage and leading the organization in the development of effective succession plans.
    • HRIS Administration, HR Best Practices, Policies & Procedures: Manage and automate core HR policies and procedures. Develop and administer process improvement were necessary of HR policies, practices, procedures, and programs. Prepare and maintain the employee handbook.
    • 401K Administration: Process 401(k) Enrollments and contributions, chair Investment Committee, participate in annual 5500 testing.

    REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS required; MBA, PHR, or SPHR a plus. Seek HR generalist with 9+ years most recent experience in an investment, financial services, property management, construction, real estate or retail industries with over 100 employees. Must be viewed as a business partner and resource. Local candidates only.

    REWARD: $115,000 - $145,000 (DOE) plus bonus. Solid company benefits including health, disability, vacation, excellent 401k match and any other perks and flexibilities. 100% On Site opportunity.
