    Responsibilities


    We are selecting a Procurement Manager for the Andean Region, responsible for managing a team who provides all indirect goods and services in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

    The position holder must, together with his/her team, ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with the overall business strategies and drive the implementation of the improvement initiatives coming out of the Procurement Global Strategy - LEAP, including delivering on the targeted value contribution and sustainability goals.

    The position will be based in Cartagena and report to the Senior Indirect Procurement Manager Latam, will be managing a team of 16 procurement professionals, and will be working closely with the Senior Indirect Procurement Manager Latam to ensure delivering the service and value creation for the region.

    This function is critical in ensuring that the organization's sourcing and contracting activities are effectively managed and aligned with business objectives.

    Profile

    • Lead a team of 16 people to ensure the supply of all indirect items and Logistics for the operations of Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
    • Elaborate and ensure compliance with the area's annual budget guaranteeing the correct allocation of resources, and other expenses involved in its activities.
    • Seek preventive and corrective actions aiming at noninterruption of the operation and with the best TCO (Total Cost Ownership) possible.
    • Manage Spare parts warehouse and inventory control in Colombia.
    • Align with the Global Indirect Procurement Organizations to capture the most value from joint purchases.
    • Drive and Implement the Procurement Strategy
    • LEAP across Andean Region.
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders of the organization to ensure the implementation of Indirect Procurement initiatives in the region.
    • Manage key strategic relationships with local and global suppliers.
    • Drive a total quality business culture by ensuring compliance to Procurement Governance, Sustainability, KPI analysis and analytics, system and tools and raising capabilities via training.
    • Responsible for managing all categories related activities in the Region.
    • Act as a single point of contact for Indirect Procurement in the Region implementing the Procurement operating model, processes, systems which are governed at Central level.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and agree development plans for all direct reports, maximizing competencies and alignment to department goals.
    • Contract management, including close cooperation with internal customers and main contractors, followup contractual aspects, negotiation, administration and close out activities.
    • Ensure procurement as required by local organization, selecting qualified suppliers, negotiating and concluding agreements and implementing contracting strategy initiatives.
    • Secure strict adherence of contracting activities in line with Yara's procedures, IDD and business code of conduct.
    • Continuous strive for procurement process improvements to create improvements of efficiency and effectiveness, control costs and prevent incidents.
    • Know and comply with the Policy, Safety Principles, guidelines and HESQ standards established by the company, based on the Safe by Choice philosophy, as well as the applicable legal requirements and Know and comply with the other requirements defined in the Matrix of HESQ Responsibilities, associated with their position / role.
    Additional Information


    Work Experience:


    Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or other relevant disciplines; preferably with master's or other post-graduation course in Supply Chain.

    8 years of Procurement experience or administrative positions and leading teams.
    People management and other backgrounds (e.g. Finance, Consulting, Legal, Supply Chain,/Logistics) will also be considered.
