    • The location of the position is on the outskirts of Downtown Houston with easy access to Metro Rail Park N Ride Stations.
    Your New Role: Join an established higher education organization in Houston, TX as the Procurement Specialist – Public Sector. You will perform various procurement services for specific departments, including formal and informal source selection services, and technical and high-profile procurements for commodities and services. You will also perform source selection and contract formation services including informal solicitations such as Requests for Quotations (RFQ), issue purchase orders, and single transaction contracts under the State's formal threshold. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Your Experience:
    • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
    • Previous public procurement experience is required.
    • CPPB, CPPO, or CPSM certifications are highly recommended
    • Essential knowledge and understanding of public purchasing practices and techniques are required.
    • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and time management skills are required.
