PTR Baler and Compactor(PTR), a division of Komar Industries, is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. The company manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers.


PTR is seeking an
Engineering
Manager to provide strategic direction and vision to the Engineering Team with responsibilities for overall design and analysis of our products and systems as well as other engineer-related activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and guide the engineering department, ensuring the highest standards of design and execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
  • Lead R & D design efforts.
  • Schedule and assign engineers to jobs and projects.
  • Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry and customer standards.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, performance, delivery, and cost for all products.
  • Manage all engineering documentation libraries.
  • Work with sales team to understand customer needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, clients, and interdepartmental teams to meet project goals within set timelines and budgets.
  • Determine engineering costing for specific jobs, products, and projects.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME).
  • Active Profession Engineer (PE) License, preferred.
  • Extreme proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling software
  • 710 years of engineering experience, preferably in heavy equipment manufacturing environment
  • 35 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting blueprints/shop drawings, bills of materials, and all documents related to producing electrical and hydraulic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5s/6s), Six Sigma, Kaizen, or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
